Had the day off this sunday so painted my chair, little marks on the road gave me the idea. I been busy working, making flowers so put a little bit in the above photos. Its been good actually, like getting all the different textures together to make an interesting bunch of flowers and think it is helping my drawing, notice im adding more texture in them.
haa ha ha i just re looked at my flower arrangement and it looks like a frilly old 60s swimming hat! nice. talented arn’t i!

Ah sorry Mr.Chimp we didn’t win the compition but thank you anyway for letting me enter this. This is a little collboration between me and Dave the Chimp. I discovered Mr.Chimps work last year and was really nice discovery for me to find…sooper stuff check it out if you havnt already www.davethechimp.co.uk. I liked his work so much particularly the drawing of little people on mattresses, also at the time my mum was goin through chemo. Mum would give me butterfly kisses when i was little but she couldn’t now cos her eye lashes dropped out. Chimps mattresses drawings and my mums feeling gave me the idea to make some pillows with little lashes on. I showed em before on my blog but i received this little image from Chimp after sending the pillow cases on to him. It makes me smile every time i see this, he made the pillows look even cooler! Im bit fed up today i been ill again but looking at this picture always make me smile so i thought id post it to remind me to smile and reminds me of a strong point in my life that was hard but a good turning point for me and how ‘ A gift isn’t fully realised until it is given away.’ (The Gift, how the creative spirt transforms the world, by Lewis Hyde.)

DIE HAPPY
October 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment
The Brief Design a poster that will stand out from the mass of media that exists in our cities and that has a positive message inspired by the theme. This year’s theme is: Change – Don’t be afraid of change. Change can be positive. While there are some things that are changing for the worst at the moment, we think that there is always room for changes that achieve a positive outcome.

Die move, however they land creates changes, often positive, as in you move forward with the roll of a die. It is considered the luckiest to get 6. The last frame ends with this ‘positive outcome’. i think perhaps humans are like die, we change a lot. If we didn’t change, we wouldn’t grow, we wouldn’t land on lucky 6. Often all the other rolls/changes are what leads up to lucky 6. Its titled ‘Die Happy’ because are lives are ever changing then we ‘die’…play on words.

UNDER THE MICROSCOPE
October 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I was always big into biology at school. I mean I wasn’t good at it, (i used to sit next to Charlotte Banks, she was really good at it.) but I really liked the lab, there was always lots of interesting stuff to look at and different shaped vases and strange coloured stuff growing in them. The teacher was a complete bitch with big hips and use to bring her family problems too school. Her hips were so wide when she put on her lab coat she looked the shape of a marque. I imagined that evil cults would gather to meet in her tent. Anyway, I loved the moment after reading loads of text in the exercise book, youd come to a ’see FIG.1′ which meant that you looked over to come sooper illustration, and being the visual person i am that was much easier one the eyes than paragraphs of type, and I loved looking at shit under the microscope, preparing all the little slides. I could never look properly, it baffled me how people where able to squint one eye to look down, i always had to cover mine with my hand. I use to think pirates would be perfectly suited to be lab technicians, patch over one eye, and all that.
